Siam Park, our top pick among Tenerife’s theme parks, stands out as a water park in a beautifully themed Thai setting.

The park is great for kids of all ages – the little ones as well as those of us who are big kids at heart 😎

One of the highlights is the Tower of Power, a sheer drop slide that sends you hurtling through an aquarium tunnel surrounded by sharks and rays – it is such a cool experience!!

The “Dragon” is another ride that you enjoy in a raft with others. On the ride, you’ll have a zero-gravity experience inside a giant funnel!

If you’re seeking a more relaxed pace, you’ll will love the Mai Thai River, the park’s lazy river, which is one of the longest in the world. It offers a gentle ride through beautiful scenery, including a section through a shark tank for an unexpected twist.

The Wave Palace has an artificial beach and waves reaching up to three meters is perfect for anyone looking to catch a surf or simply enjoy the sun.

Siam Park also excels in amenities, with plenty of high-quality dining options and comfortable cabanas for rent, making it easy to spend the whole day in comfort and style.

If you don’t want to wait in line, you can get fast passes with an all-inclusive ticket, plus lunch and a locker. Or upgrade yourself even further with VIP treatment to a private cabin and all-inclusive food and drinks.

It’s these thoughtfully designed rides, attractions, and facilities that made Siam Park our favorite theme park in Tenerife.

#2 – Loro Parque

Loro Parque is one of our favorite theme parks in Tenerife for a variety of reasons.

First and foremost, the diversity and quality of the shows captured our attention, particularly the dolphin show.

This captivating performance showcased the intelligence and grace of dolphins in a way that was both entertaining and educational, offering insights into their behavior and conservation.

Another highlight was the penguin area, known as “Planet Penguin.” This large, Antarctic-themed habitat is home to hundreds of penguins living in a carefully controlled environment that mimics their natural cold and icy surroundings.

Watching the penguins dive, swim, and interact in this expansive space was a unique and delightful experience.

Beyond the stars of the shows and the penguin area, Loro Parque is home to an impressive array of animals including orcas, sea lions, flamingos, gorillas, tigers, sharks, jellyfish, and alligators, offering you a glimpse into the incredible diversity of the animal kingdom.

Loro Parque is not just about entertainment; it’s also deeply committed to animal conservation. The park serves as a sanctuary for a variety of species, providing educational opportunities for you to learn about wildlife conservation efforts.

Its extensive and well-maintained habitats allow for close-up encounters with animals, offering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Additionally, the park’s beautifully landscaped gardens make it a pleasure to simply walk in the park!

It’s not just the shows or any single attraction that made Loro Parque a favorite for us, but the combination of conservation efforts, educational value, and the sheer variety of experiences available.

Plus, we found the park’s theme song to be wildly entertaining and we continued to sing it for days after our visit 🤣

#3 – Forestal Park

Forestal Park in Tenerife is an exhilarating adventure park, offering a blend of nature and adventure.

With its high-flying zip lines and challenging obstacle courses, it provides an unmatched experience amidst the island’s scenic beauty.

The park’s courses cater to all ages and skill levels, making it a fantastic spot for family fun or testing your limits.

We especially loved the obstacle courses – they are very well done!

However, it’s worth noting that if you have a fear of heights, you might find some of the park’s zip lines daunting. Kelsea is not a fan of heights in general but still found the park fun!

Forestal Park was a fun adventure for us and would be a great add to any Tenerife itinerary.

#4 – Jungle Park

Jungle Park is a “jungle-zoo” Tenerife theme park that offers wildlife experiences and in a jungle-like setting.

The park is set up so that it feels like you’re in a jungle, walking along rope bridges and in dense foliage.

Among its highlights are the exotic birds and wildlife. We got to see eagles, vultures, and other birds of prey up close during the impressive flight shows.

We particularly enjoyed the bird shows, where the skill and intelligence of the birds are on full display.

The park is also home to leopards, monkeys, meerkats, and penguins, providing a diverse range of animals to see.

However, a con is that, compared to other theme parks Tenerife has to offer like Siam Park, Jungle Park does not have high-thrill rides, which could be a downside for those seeking adrenaline-pumping experiences.

While Jungle Park has a great adventure experience with its lush landscapes and diverse wildlife, we preferred Loro Parque for its larger variety of animals and world-renowned marine shows.

#5 – Aqualand

Aqualand Costa Adeje is another great family-friendly water park in Tenerife, offering a more budget-friendly alternative to Siam Park.

It has 15 main attractions, with a wide variety of water slides, from thrilling high-speed drops to more leisurely river rides, so there is something for everyone.

The park also features a dedicated children’s area, ensuring fun for the youngest visitors.

One of Aqualand’s highlights is its dolphin show, known for its entertaining and educational value, showcasing the intelligence and grace of these marine creatures.

Plus it’s super close to some of the best hotels in Tenerife in Costa Adeje.

Despite its charms, we couldn’t help but notice that many of Aqualand’s rides seem a bit old and could greatly benefit from some updating and remodeling to enhance the overall experience.

Though it doesn’t boast the same level of thrills as Siam Park, its lower price point and shorter ride queues make Aqualand a worthy visit for guests seeking water fun on a budget.

#6 – Monkey Park

Monkey Park in Tenerife is another zoo with an interactive approach, allowing you to get up close with a variety of animals.

Guests can feed and even touch many of the animals, including monkeys, iguanas, and turtles, under supervision.

The variety of primates, from the tiny squirrel monkeys to the larger lemurs, is particularly fascinating!

We loved the hands-on experience, which isn’t commonly found in other parks, making it a memorable visit for us.

However, a slight downside is its size. Compared to larger theme parks in Tenerife like Loro Parque, Monkey Park is smaller, which will limit the duration of your visit.

#7 – Camel Center

At Camel Center in El Tanque, you’ll have a very unique experience of riding camels on Tenerife trails.

You will meander through farmlands of this traditional northwest village, home to distinctive Canary Islands farm animals like the Canarian goat and Pelibuey sheep.

This 30-minute camel ride can be very pretty!

You can add to your experience with optional extras like hotel pickup from locations like La Quinta and Teneguía, and Canarian tapas tasting complete with local wine, honeyed cheese, and the famous Canarian potatoes.

Our personal highlight was the chance to have butterflies land on us, creating memorable photo opportunities.

However, you might find the park’s small size and the focus solely on butterflies less appealing if you prefer more thrilling attractions.

However, some find the small entrance fee annoying compared to free public beaches or if you already have a pool at your hotel.

We loved the serene atmosphere and the educational aspect of learning about various palm species.

However, we did find the hilly terrain challenging, especially under the hot sun.
