Page, AZ may be best known for its daytime activities but the nights are fun too! We went and visited to gather for you the best 10 things to do at night in Page, Arizona.

Page, Arizona has a lot of wonderful activities to do and see during the day. But once the sun goes down, the main attractions of Page are inaccessible. So what things do you do at night?

We’ve created a list of top things to do after you have finished touring Antelope Canyon, visiting Horseshoe Bend, or boating Lake Powell.

Things to Do at Night in Page, Arizona

1 – See the Sunset

The sunset is absolutely beautiful in Page, Arizona. As the sun dips below the horizon over Lake Powell and the buttes, the sky is painted with vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples. Rays of golden light dance across the red sandstone formations, setting them ablaze with color.

The shadows lengthen across the desert landscape while a warm glow envelops the area. It’s a photographer’s dream, with stunning compositions around every turn. The grandeur and colors of the sunset over Page are an unforgettable sight and the perfect way to end a day exploring the scenic wonders of the region.

In the winter months, sunset can be around 5pm. Sunset in the summer months can be around 8pm. Make sure you look up the time so that you don’t miss this top thing to do at night in Page, Arizona

Where is the best place to see the sunset in Page Arizona?

Horseshoe Bend is debatably the best place to see the sunset in Page Arizona. The sun sets directly over Horseshoe Bend since you are looking west at the overlook.

The walk from the parking lot to the overlook is less than 15 minutes. It is a gradual up-and-down path that is wide and accessible for most ages. This makes it an easy walk back to your car when the light is low after the sun has set.

There is a $10 fee per car to park at Horseshoe Bend. You will not be able to use your National Parks pass or Red Rock Pass as it is managed as a Municipal Park by the City of Page.

Since Horseshoe Bend is one of the best places to watch the sunset, it can get very crowded. We recommend getting there an hour before sunset to get a spot and set up your tripod for those incredible pictures.

Alternatively, we really enjoyed going to Lake Powell Resort to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset over the Lake. The Driftwood Lounge has a stunning view of the lake to go along with superb cocktails, beer, wine, and appetizers.

The Wahweap Overlook is another great place to see the fading sun hit Lake Powell. It is free to enter and has a good gravel parking lot. It is an awesome overlook with amazing views. It does close at sunset, so you can not stick around here to stargaze, but we have great recommendations on where to do that next!

2 – Stargaze

Page can be one of the best places in Arizona to view fantastic dark night skies. 

Some of the best spots to see the stars without light pollution will require some off-road driving. If you have a high-clearance vehicle, these stops are perfect for you.

Alstrom Point is a great place to see the stars with very little light pollution but will require a bit of a driving adventure to get to. A high-clearance vehicle is mandatory, and we recommend a 4WD vehicle to take the rough road to get to the overlook.

It is about 23 miles of driving with deep potholes. It took us about an hour and a half to get to the parking area. But there will be a huge payoff once you make it to the end, so stick with it!

Once you have parked, you will still have a little less than a 1 mile hike. We recommend getting there by sunset for two reasons. One, the sunset can be one of the best views in all of Page. Two, it will be a difficult drive in the dark. 

This area is so secluded and away from the crowds. If you enjoy camping, Alstrom Point is the place to do it in Page. 

Another secluded place about 30 minutes away from Page is Toadstool Hoodoos Trail. If you are able to go on a night with a bright moon, you can walk the trail and feel like you are on another planet. It is free to enter, and the hike is about 1.5 miles round-trip.

3 – Learn about the Navajo Culture

Red Heritage Native American Dinner Theater is a great place to visit at night in Page, Arizona. It is the premier entertainment hall to experience the food and culture of the Navajo people.

Owned and operated by the Navajo Nation, it is an essential and vibrant cultural experience. Here, visitors are invited to witness the traditional powwow dancing and live music performed with flutes and drums while immersed in the rich Navajo culture.

Traditional foods such as Navajo tacos, frybread, rice bowls and salads are served up to complete the experience.

It’s an unforgettable treat for anyone visiting Page from March through November. Tickets often sell out quickly, so be sure to book yours in advance here!

4 – Try out the local flavors

There are many local flavors in the area that you have to try. From Navajo food to Southwest barbecue to Island Pacific Rim cuisine, there are many choices for any food lover.

5 – Enjoy a local beer and spirits

Grand Canyon Brewing and Distilling is the place to go at night in Page when looking to try locally produced drinks.

In 2022, Grand Canyon Brewing and Distilling opened its doors in a gorgeous facility. They converted the original Page fire station into a brewhouse and added a large outdoor patio to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenic views of Arizona. 

We particularly enjoy the Prickly Pear Wheat Ale and the Black Iron IPA for their beers. Their spirits made with 100% Arizona farm-sourced grains contribute to tasty cocktails.

Adding fun to the concoctions, there are pool tables, a foosball table, a shuffleboard, and tons of TVs.

In addition to their drinks, they also have food available for purchase.

6 – Look for Live Music

Live music can be the perfect recipe for winding down at night in Page.

Gone West Family Restaurant has live country music on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a back room with a stage. Enjoy home cooking like pot roast or country-fried steak while listening to the band.

Big John’s Texas BBQ is also known to have live music, especially on the weekend on its wonderful patio. You can check their social media or stop by to see what performers they have coming up!

7 – Relax your Muscles with a massage or in a hot tub

After a long day exploring the many wonders of Page, Arizona, we like to recover with a massage or hot tub.

8 – Rodeo at Vermillion Cliffs Arena

Rodeo 98 hosts rodeos at the Vermillion Cliffs Arena. If you haven’t been to a rodeo before, this is a great place to see bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, or bareback riding. It is great entertainment for people of all ages!

Tickets are usually fairly cheap at $10 for adults and $5 for children.

9 – Catch a Movie

After a hot day exploring, a movie could be a great way to relax and wind down the day.

Mesa Theatre is the small local movie theater in Page. The staff is pleasant, the movies are current, the popcorn is yummy, and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed going to see a movie after hiking in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

Page Public Library presents movies in the park at John C. Page Memorial Park in the summer on Friday’s June-Juy. There are food trucks and games for the children. The movies are free to attend, so bring a chair or blanket to watch the movie.

10 – Go Bowling

Bowling is a fun activity to do at night in Page. The Bowl is the bowling alley in Page. The prices are great and they are open until 1am! 

They not only offer bowling but also have pool tables and a nostalgic retro atmosphere. Additionally, they have a bar and grill where you can get food and drinks. The bartender was very nice and she had recommendations of places to see in the area.

It doesn’t rain often in Page, but if it does, this is a good activity to wait out until it dries up. We hope you get a strike!

How Many Nights to Stay in Page, Arizona?

Page, Arizona has so many options for fantastic activities so we recommend at least 3 full days and 2 or 3 nights. You definitely want to have plenty of time to visit the Antelope Canyons, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, and Glen Canyon Dam.
